Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre at the top of Grafton Street
Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre is a large indoor shopping centre located at the top of Grafton Street; in the Southside of Dublin City. Named after St. Stephen’s Green, a nearby park (its street address is Stephens Green West). You can reach this Shopping Centre from Dublin Citi Hotel less than a 10-minute walk.
The centre has over 100 outlets. Major franchises include Dunnes Stores, Boots, Gamestop and TK Maxx. Examples of other, more independent shops include the gothic and alternative clothes shop Asha, leading Irish men’s branded fashion clothing store ‘Counterpropaganda’ and the wrestling devoted shop Wrestling Mania. It also houses a ‘Big & Tall’ man’s shop called King-size Menswear and has a large food court.
Before the shopping centre, the area was part of The Dandelion Market. Well known as the site of U2’s earliest gigs and its array of stalls selling punk badges, clothes and posters. The site had been assembled over the years by the Slazenger family.
The market closed in 1981 and they commemorated it with a plaque. However, The Sinnott’s Bar on South King Street is the only part of the original site that remains. Work began on the St. Stephen’s Green in 1985, with the whole project taking three years to complete. The centre officially opened its doors on 8 November 1988.
The Shopping Centre has everything you need. You can find key cutting to shoe repair and parking facilities; to baby feeding areas, as well as Internet access points. Stephen’s Green offers you all the services you would expect from a premium quality shopping centre.

But our cafés just don’t do coffee, as you can also refuel with the finest and freshest Paninis, sandwiches, croissants, bagels and pastries that Dublin has to offer.
You can reach this Shopping Centre from the Dublin Citi Hotel in a 10-minute walk. Their doors are open from Monday to Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
