Now in its ninth year, New Year’s Festival Dublin brings you a new and exciting programme of events to ring in 2021. Dublin City will light up with imagination and wonder with 3 spectacular events on 31 December 2020. Gather in the heart of Dublin with family and friends, as the iconic Custom House becomes the centre for NYF Dublin’s Countdown this year.

Liffey Lights Midnight Moment Matinée – 18:00 – Custom House Quay & Georges Quay
Families and friends of all ages can count down to the New Year together at Liffey Lights Midnight Moment Matinee, a very special earlier countdown event. Children will be enchanted as the night sky lights up in a magical explosion of colour as laser lights and aqua beams dance in perfect harmony with the music. Entertainment for this FREE event will start at 6 pm leading to the earlier countdown spectacle at 7 pm.
This is a FREE event but tickets will need to be booked in advance. Booking details will be announced on www.nyfdublin.com at the end of November.
New Years Eve Concert – 20:00 – Custom House Quay
Get ready for a New Year’s Eve night to remember!
Following sold-out tours across Europe and headlining major Irish arena and outdoor concerts this year, Walking On Cars are set to top off 2019 by headlining this year’s Countdown Concert at Custom House. Walking On Cars will ring in 2021 with special guests.

Liffey Lights Midnight Moment – 23:30 – Georges Quay
Celebrate the final moments of 2019 as the Liffey Lights Midnight Moment marks the end of the year and welcomes in 2020 in spectacular fashion.
Prepare to be thrilled by the spectacular solar symphony of lights as up to to 100 aquabeams, lasers and searchlights dance across the night sky, performing in time with the original music created, especially for the NYE countdown event.
Watch in awe as the thrilling choreography of lasers and aqua beams illuminate the Dublin sky against the backdrop of the iconic Custom House as revellers count down to the year 2021.
The FREE event will start at 11.30 pm with excitement building to a crescendo as the clock strikes 12. This performance is not to be missed. This is a FREE event.
